#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Jutta Lang

Gratefully and in great solidarity we publish today the testimony of Jutta Lang. Our reliable friend and colleague at Fairness Asylum. Jutta knows exactly what she is talking about when she says: "Every person has the right to live in safety. No deportations to Afghanistan." She personally accompanies young people from Afghanistan, teaches them, knows their worries and needs, their despair. …

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Roberta Rastl

"Anyone who sends people who have fled war and persecution back to a war-torn country like Afghanistan, thereby accepting their death, is acting inhumanely." Roberta Rastl/Media Relations Diakonie Austria Many of us know Roberta as a reliable contact person. Her warmth and humour are exemplary and bring a lot of joy into our sometimes stressful everyday work. Roberta Rastl clearly expresses what many of us ...

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Dr Ferry Maier

"Deportations to Afghanistan are not worthy of a state in the heart of Europe. Where is human dignity and humanity? Afghanistan is the most unsafe country on earth. The Foreign Ministry urgently warns citizens against entering the country. Nevertheless, Austria deports people seeking protection to Afghanistan. Among them are also fully integrated people or people who had to flee to Iran as children and therefore do not even know Afghanistan." …

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Thomas Stipsits

"Thomas Stipsits, cabaret artist and actor We would like to thank Mr. Stipsits for his words and support. With his statement he hits the nail on the head. Afghanistan is a country at war. Many Austrians, just like Mr Stipsits, can and want to send people to Afghanistan.

"Whoever saves just one life saves the whole world" Talmud

Really exhausting working week. The pressure is making itself felt. It's probably not even really comprehensible for us. How it is. You have spent 4 to 5 years here in Austria after fleeing from a war or crisis zone. You do an apprenticeship, go to school, hang out with your friends. Finally, after all this suffering, a life that is almost normal. …

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan-Andrea Mayrwöger

" If we decide that it is ok to deport people to the most unsafe country in the world, what value do human rights have in Austria?" Andrea Mayrwöger/Obfrau Fairness Asyl This legitimate question is asked by a woman of civil society with whom I have much more than an intimate friendship. She is the chairwoman of our community #FairnessAsyl and we all feel for her....

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Manuel Rubey

"No, dear official Austria: Afghanistan is simply NOT a safe country" Manuel Rubey/actor and singer How important it is that we continue to raise our voices against the inhumane deportations to Afghanistan can be seen in the current reports on Afghanistan and when we read the government programme 2020, part "Asylum/Migration". At the moment, unfortunately, no change is in sight. The next deportation is already ...

#StopDeportationToAfghanistan

Today I am posting my personal statement here. "Deportations to the most dangerous country in the world, Afghanistan, are neither humanly nor legally justifiable. NOTHING has changed, deportations to Afghanistan will continue to take place, young people, perfectly integrated, will continue to leave our country in a cruel way, in which they once again go on the run within Europe, again alone somewhere ...

Government Programme Turquoise/Green 2020

As everyone who knows me must be aware, I have spent the last 2 days doing a lot of work. Reading the government programme, analysing what this paper means, which partly contains good points, but especially in our area of human rights, asylum and migration it is a disaster. My first reaction was great disappointment, pain, anger and helplessness. After many conversations with friends, NGOs, friends, supporters, designers, a sleepless night with many reflections remains. …
