Another "small" detail of a deportation Vienna - Kabul

15.30

I come home and see that the boy who was deported from Vienna to Kabul/Afghanistan yesterday without his documents has called me. I call him back, he is offline!

Deportation completed

Again and again I ask myself, I am actually already tired of it, why thousands of Austrians do not give a thought to these human rights crimes? I ask myself why intelligent people with whom I deal in everyday life don't give a damn about what is being done here. I think of the boy, I know that everyone who knew him mourns him.

He was reserved, shy, a great cook and craftsman. He had a big heart, never did anything wrong. He was terrified of ever having to go back to Afghanistan.

7.30 pm

The phone rings again. Video Chat. How much faces change when people are deprived of their rights and dignity. He pronounces my name in a way that makes me cringe with grief. I see him on the screen and it is incredibly difficult to talk to him. He urgently asks me to get him his documents from the BfA. I have already written an email for him. I spare him the fear that the BfA will complicate everything again because the deported boy has no power of attorney. I promise him I'll get behind it.

My dear friend Dani gave him another €100 to take to the PAZ, police detention centre, for take-off. It was also duly handed over to him when he left the plane.

 Corruption/theft "welcome to Afghanistan

If it weren't for the Afghan officials. Someone took 75 of the 100 from the boy when he left the airport. And I can't help wondering why a forensic expert like Mahringer refuses to meet with IOM in Kabul because it is too dangerous, when he justifies the harmlessness of the deportations in his expert opinion?

BfA Austria deports without documents!

Now the deported boy is sitting in an IOM room in Kabul, desperate, without documents, which the BfA "forgot" to give back to him!

25 in a country that the Austrian government has given a travel warning level 6 because the number of civilian deaths is rising, terror, attacks, corruption and acts of war are the order of the day. Nevertheless, it deports young people there without any remorse because racism and mobilisation against self-created enemy images are part of the new lifestyle.

I have great sympathy for this boy, wonder how his life will go on and hope so much that the BFA will at least release his papers without any problems. I have no idea what we can seriously do for deported Afghans. There is not really anyone who can tell me either! People are too busy with other issues: Fences, border protection, fending off, .....

I often ask myself how long it will take before Europe will shoot, yes shoot, with live ammunition at people fleeing war, atrocities, torture!

Tomorrow I'll talk to him again on the phone so as not to leave him alone. He doesn't know how to go on, neither do I.....
