On #Chios we were lucky.
We met Andreas and Leyla almost immediately after our arrival.
They run a wonderful music project. They make music with children.

The two of them felt the same way we did, they wanted to stay here for a few weeks. When they saw this indescribable misery, they stayed.
Their love for the people, their thought that music connects and heals, touched us very much.
We agree with them, every little movement towards them is a spark of warmth for those affected.
Since musical instruments are always needed and their work has convinced us, we have decided to finance another Chello for the project.

We also met the volunteers of Ruhi Loren Akhtar/Refugee Biriyani & Bananas, young, very committed people from different countries in Europe.
Their work focuses on food distribution.
It's nice to meet NGOs that help in an unbureaucratic and efficient way.
We, refugee assistance-refugee assistance-doro blancke" participate with a #disaster aid of 7500€.
This will ensure the distribution of food parcels to every person in and around #Vial camp.
The distribution will start next week, we will report on it.
Thank you all for making this much needed help possible. We all know that Europe should evacuate these places of terrible suffering and misery. That is what we are fighting for!
But until this happens, we must not leave alone children, women and men who have had to leave their country behind them in the greatest danger and drastic pain.
We will continue this work, we will report on the misery and do our best to draw attention to the hotspots of immoral and cruel refugee policies and provide #disasterhelp for the people on the ground.
