#StopDeportationToAfghanistan

Campaign #StopDeportationToAfghanistan / Start: 1 December 2019

I have been working with people on the run for 5 years now.

5 years in which we have enjoyed wonderful successes by young people.
5 years in which I have met countless inquisitive, hardworking, hurting, loving people, experienced setbacks and found reliable comrades-in-arms and supporters.

5 years in which the asylum conditions for young people from Afghanistan in Austria have become extremely difficult.
In spite of work, school and apprenticeships, procedures for the withdrawal of beneficiaries of subsidiary protection are mercilessly initiated.

The procedures are ruthlessly conducted by partly untrained BFA officials and the Austrian population is ruthlessly made to believe, despite knowing better, that deportees can start a safe new life in Afghanistan.

The authorities mercilessly ignore family ties, benefits, language acquisition, psychological trauma, etc. and consistently work on deportations to Afghanistan.

Campaign #StopDeportationToAfghanistan

I am all the more grateful that, at my request, many public figures have agreed to support the #StopDeportationToAfghanistan campaign.

Actors, artists, writers, personalities, members of large NGOs, clergy, people from civil society, etc. clearly express in words and pictures why they do not want deportations to Afghanistan, why they do not approve of them, why they do not think they are right.

I sincerely thank all those who have placed their trust in me in this regard and I especially thank Klaus Springer/Innsbruck who has opened the doors to many wonderful contacts.

Advent, hostel search, quiet time

Let us listen to the testimonies of very different people, let us try to understand what it is like for people on the run and how together we can prevent these cruel deportations to one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

I ask everyone who sees this campaign to carry it on, to share it, to talk about it and all those who want to participate with a message to get in touch with me at doro@doroblancke.at. Let's work together for peace for all of us, let's show compassion for people in need, let's show our children how to live together peacefully.

In this spirit, I wish you who visit this page a happy Advent, peace and good times with your loved ones and the people from Afghanistan and us, the urgently needed dialogue with the aim of finally stopping the deportations to Afghanistan.

Doro Blancke

  1. I also work with refugees, most of them from Afghanistan. And unfortunately I have often had to experience how the increasingly inhumane legal situation, the long asylum procedures, the very often unjustified negative decisions, the lack of access to the labour market etc. ... turn hopeful young people into psychological wrecks.
This short-sighted deportation policy will take its revenge later, because our ageing state urgently needs young people who are willing to work!

      A topic we often address.
The fact that these young people are being wronged, years of waiting for the end of their asylum procedures, sometimes undignified procedures and interviews, since September 2018, no access to the labour market against the existing EU, hardly any understanding for the dramatic situation in Afghanistan, no loving integration into our society, racism, and, and, and.
They are made afraid of deportation, the human challenges are never addressed, many are left totally alone.
All these things are responsible for division, mistrust of our society and, in the worst case, can be the bridge to radicalisation.
      Irresponsible!

  2. Yes, I remember the time that was once called quiet and contemplative - Advent.
Even if I have long since lost faith in the Catholic power church fighting for justice and even more in those who misuse the word Christian in their party propaganda, values of my childhood have remained.
They are Christian and humanitarian values that make me unswervingly stand up for them:
    - for love in small ways, for people who need my and our solidarity, no matter where they come from, and
    - for the love of the world, which makes me stand up against all those persons, organisations and states who are responsible for the injustices, egoisms and brutal oppressions in this beautiful world. In Austria and everywhere in the world.

  3. I am always appalled that countries like Austria, which, as far as I know, have human rights enshrined in their constitution, deport people to these countries who are in danger of being murdered. Especially if they are blameless, have integrated themselves here, or are in the process of doing so, with great commitment and gratitude for the opportunities to live in a free country, and are also giving something back to the host country. Such inhumanity has no justification whatsoever in a constitutional state.
As I am a very critical person, I would have no problem suggesting that Muslims, who are often already the third generation to live here, but who cheer for Erdogan, should travel - with financial support - to their promised land.
But the suspicion is that some parties are not at all interested in giving refugees who are willing to integrate a home here. Otherwise it would be more difficult to incite "the people" against migrants/refugees. Therefore, they prefer to deport those who would be an enrichment for our country!
