#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Review/Outlook

Today, full of gratitude, I am publishing a review of those people who have supported us so far with their statements, who have shown solidarity. People from different cities, social backgrounds, women, men, of different ages. They have one thing in common: their solidarity with those seeking protection from Afghanistan and their willingness to support this initially "small idea" of the #StopDeportationToAfghanistan campaign. My sincere, heartfelt thanks for this, dear ones.

Already 5 NGOs have joined and installed the gallery of supporters on their homepage. I would also like to thank my esteemed colleagues from http://www.fairness-asyl.at/stopdeportationto-afghanistan/, https://www.sichersein.at/2019/12/06/stopdeportationtoafghanistan/, http://asyl.at/de/info/neuemeldungen/stopdeportationtoafghanistan/, https://www.mwoe.at/stop-deportation-to-afghanistan/ and https://www.integrationshaus.at/de/, which will start soon!

Afghanistan is a high-risk area, as Alexander Pollak, spokesperson for SOS Mitmensche, https://www.sosmitmensch.at/site/home aptly describes it. Deportations to this country must be stopped immediately! Hardly any civilian has not been affected by the everyday violence in Afghanistan. #AfghanistanIsNotSafe! That is why we urgently demand an end to the deportations to Afghanistan and that a new, more realistic country assessment be used as the basis for decisions.

The good news about the campaign is that there are still quite a few people waiting for the publication. We do this every Sunday and Wednesday. And I am so happy that new people keep coming forward to show solidarity. It may seem like small steps, but even a drop can develop into a wave, I believe that and that gives me strength in my daily work!

We will continue on Wednesday with a personally affected person whose testimony has caused me the greatest consternation, as it sums up both the drama and the consequences of the deportations.

Heartfelt thanks to you all, Doro
