#StopDeportationToAfghanistan - Heini Staudinger

Today a man who is not only known beyond the borders of our country because of his company, but also because of his great commitment to a better life for all of us, his solidarity with people and his courage to change things. The entrepreneur Heini Staudinger, GEA/Waldviertler

When we asked him to support the #StopDeportationToAfghanistan campaign, the following message came back immediately:

"Afghanistan. We have 2 apprentice shoemakers and a journeyman shoemaker from Afghanistan. Young people, each with his talents, skills and his incredible escape story. All three are a joy to have around. They also bring with them manual skills that are no longer easily found among young people in this country. Again and again they tell of bomb attacks in their home countries. Again and again, they fear for relatives in their home country. On behalf of our company, I can say nothing else but: Please let us have our Afghans. We like them and need them very, very badly, because all three of them are super craftsmen.

Cordially, Heini"

Dear Mr Staudinger, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this statement. It contains everything that makes it clear why the cruel deportations to Afghanistan, a country at war, must finally be stopped. Daily attacks, terror, fear in Afghanistan, a country at war. The country is marked by decades of current warfare, documented by countless reports. You also describe the contribution that these young people make to our country and thus make a valuable contribution to all of our communities, and the fact that many of these young people already have a place in our hearts. They are firmly anchored in our community, belong to our families.

In this spirit and with your strong words, esteemed Mr Staudinger, we are again calling today for the deportations to Afghanistan to finally be stopped. Thank you very much, also on behalf of those affected, for your solidarity and support in this regard.

  1. When it comes to the right to asylum, I would also find it important to discuss the duality of human rights and human duties, as Karl Stickler did last year with his book on human duties! Perhaps you could also write an article on this?

Thank you for your suggestion, I will write an article on this, not today, but in the near future.
But on the basis of your lines alone, I can already say that I understand what you are talking about and that I am also one of those companions who demand rights and duties.
All those who know me, support me and work with me will confirm this.

But now it comes down to attitude.
When young people reach our country, do I give them orders from above, or do I give them a loving environment, with the basic framework that also includes clear rules.
In fact, the same way we do with our children, our youth.

I will read the book, thanks for the tip. Just a quick mention at the end. Integration means giving and taking, I am willing to prepare the ground for this.

This would also be desirable at the political level.

And as Heini Staudinger says above, embedded in "his" environment, from GEA, the boys have settled in wonderfully and developed the beauty of their personalities.

It is also clear that people on the run tick the same as we do.
Not everyone is a social genius 😉 .
But everyone must abide by basic rules.

      Sincerely, Doro
