It has become quiet around you, one thinks!

My thoughts for you Ahmad Jan!
It has become quiet around you, one thinks!
But that's not true, Jan!
Every day people write to me and ask me how you are, how your case is going, what you are doing.....
100s of Austrians often think of you.

I have been talking to you on the phone every day since 28.4.

How are you?
Asking you this question causes me grief, because I know what situation you are in, so the question means more of a tuning in to each other.
How is an intelligent young person who lives in fear for 7 weeks? Fear of being recognised, fear of being alone in the midst of chaos, indifference and terror.
Fear that what you have come to love, your friends, our country, our way of life, will never be in your sight again. …

I am amazed every time I go to an interview/asylum with one of our guys how much you empathise and wish us well. You chat with my Afghan roommate and are always willing to engage in the joy of success in their asylum case.

I keep asking myself why the BfA did not wait with your deportation until your application for humanitarian right to stay had been decided. The BvwG judge also asked the BfA representative whether he thought deportation was inefficient in this context.
There are rumours that the BfA representative at your first hearing was glad not to have anything more to do with this case.
Should I believe that? Or is it a calming tactic?

Can those responsible forget so quickly, repress?
They deported you, BEST integrated, job promise, almost finished education and with a democratised heart.

My promise ...

... "I will not rest until there is an answer to your case" I will keep Jan!
We laugh, cry, philosophise and remain silent together. We speak reduced and yet so in fullness, away from superficialities.
You follow our everyday life, read the newspaper and in the morning you are better informed about what is happening in Austria than I am.

What do you want me to say? That I carry you in my heart? That your case has moved a lot in Austria and is still moving a lot? That there are many people in Austria who are firmly against deportations to Afghanistan, especially against deportations of very well integrated people like you.

Next Monday you will be spoken of again in public, in Vienna, your thoughts, texts will be read out.
Many will be with you with their thoughts and hearts. Take it as an opportunity to fill your heart with hope and love to get through this hard time.
I hug you, am with you in thoughts, we continue to work consistently for you here. I look forward to hearing your voice in the evening and exchanging our thoughts.

In heartfelt solidarity, Doro

  1. Dear Ahmad,
but yes, you are firmly anchored in our hearts and the belief that you will live a peaceful life here with us is indelibly tattooed there.
I have not met you personally but you are so present.
    We send loving greetings.
    Feel hugged.??❤

  2. I still have a candle burning for you in my house every night. Until you are back in Austria and I can finally get to know you...

  3. That you, dear Jan, may one day return and live a happy life in Austria is the hope to which all your friends cling. Then justice will be restored. In the meantime, let us continue to stoke the fire of love and solidarity so that hatred and envy no longer have a chance with us. Stay strong, dear Jan!

  4. Dear Ahmad,

I have just brought my Afghan friends to the bus and am now thinking intensely about you. I pray fervently for you that everything will turn out positively in court, that you will soon be able to embrace your friends here again.
In the meantime, God bless you and give you hope and confidence again.
I will lead you safely back to your new home.
    ?❤???

  5. Dear Ahmad ! What you dear friend have to endure , you in your terrible situation , is unbelievable . I wish for you justice and right. And reparation from the Republic of Austria to you. I carry you and all Afghan friends in my ❤en.

  6. Dear Ahmad, dear Renate,

oh shit, I have to cry every time I read lines like that.
What is happening to us,.... why ????
I already know: because it benefits a few, like our Minister of the Interior, who (quoted in Mittagsjournal of 13 June)
"maudlin stories by NGOs and asylum lawyers".
That is soooo cynical, inhuman, malicious.
I once felt comfortable in this country and I appreciate what we have here.
I have no problem sharing just that. There is enough for everyone. I know that.
And if it is a tactic to break us and steal our hope, I can only say: they will be surprised!
All the best to you and to all who are touched by your stories!
