We have experienced a lot, they were wonderful, extremely exhausting and depressing days.
We have seen great misery and had wonderful encounters.
We leave this city with the awareness that we must not only stand by the people in their cruel situation, but also that we cannot simply release all those politicians who are responsible for this misery and later ignore it from their responsibility.
And that, as our dear friend Helga would have said, "something needs to be done".
Now we are spending another 3 days on Lesbos, looking forward to the visit of MEP Bettina Vollath, her team and Prof. Wolfgang Benedek, expert in international law and board member of our association.
We will have many discussions, meet officials, NGOs, activists and lawyers. We will deal with national and European politics and human rights. We will invest all the strength we have left in these very important days.
